Kenyan tourist visa is applied online through e-visa. The basic requirements are a travel document valid for not less than six months and a return ticket. The cost of the single entry visa is $51.

Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most spectacular ecosystems. It is home to 450 animal species, including the Big 5 and over 500 bird species.
What is the best time to see the great wildebeest migration?
The migration usually begins from mid-June onwards when the wildebeests cross the Mara river. The migration lasts for about 3-4 months. Anytime from mid-June to mid-October is a good time to catch the great wildebeest migration.

Do I have to pay a deposit for my safari? How much should I pay, and what mode of payment should I use?
It is recommended to have all costs paid for before the commencement of the safari to secure bookings, accommodation, flights, etc. You can make the payment through bank transfer or credit card. In special situations, you can make cash payments on arrival. The deposit amount is 50% of the safari cost. The balance should be cleared one month before the beginning of the safari tour.
What is the security situation in East Africa?
East Africa is generally safe for tourists, especially within the tourist circuits. Incidents involving tourists are rare. However, it is advised to follow the basic precautions such as:
• Avoid walking in the dark/isolated areas at night.
• Avoid wearing flashy jewelry.
• Avoid carrying valuables around, etc.
Can special dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes, special dietary requirements are catered to as per your requirement in almost every East African establishment. However, advance notice is required so that arrangements are made with the lodges and camps you are scheduled to stay in.
How much do I tip drivers, servers, porters and others?
Tipping is always discretional. However, it is appreciated as an acknowledgment of service well rendered. Along the way, if someone provides you with specific services, it is appropriate to express your appreciation through gratuity.
